If you want to try something new in the kitchen, why not venture into the land of scrumptious fish dishes? You can for instance get some tilapia fillets. Tilapia is inexpensive and easy to find in grocery stores, and it is also a highly versatile fish that works well in a long row of recipes. If you want a really easy tilapia recipe that is destined to be success even for a novice chef, go ahead and make some Honey Tilapia. Simply pre-heat the oven to 425°F. Finely chop onion until you have 1/3 cup. Finely chop 1 garlic clove. Remove the seeds from 2 jalapeño chilis and chop the fruits finely. Drain the juice from an 8 oz can of crushed pineapple in juice. Mix chopped onions, garlic and jalapeño chili with the crushed pineapple and stir in ¼ cup of honey, 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of white wine, 2 tablespoons of fresh lime juice, 2 tablespoons of hoisin sauce, 2 tablespoons of grated peeled fresh ginger, and 1 ½ teaspoon of cornstarch. You will now need 4 tilapia fillets, about 6 oz each. Arrange the fillets in a single layer in a baking dish and spoon the honey sauce over them. Roast in the oven until the fillets have become opaque all the way through. (This will normally take 10-15 minutes.) This dish tastes great with rice.
